RUMIKO TAKAHASHI'S RANMA 1/2 ANIME SUMBIT DEBUT ON OCTOBER 4, NEW THEME SONGS ANNOUNCED

Ranma 1/2 anime's official website has revealed the debut of the second season on October 4, along with the announcement of the new theme songs. Wednesday Campanella will perform the opening theme song "Wo Aini" and Nishina will perform the ending theme song "Panda Girl".

The anime will premiere on NTV at 24:55 (October 5 at 12:55 a.m.) and will also be streamed on Netflix after the television broadcast. A digest video summarizing the first season is also available on the website.

The second season brings back Toshihiko Seki as Mousse, 32 years after his first appearance in the Ranma 1/2 anime. New cast members include Kaori Nazuka as Ukyō Kuonji, Kazuhiko Inoue as Happōsai, Ako Mayama as Cologne, and Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi.

Most of the staff from the first season return for the second season, with Kōsuke Kawamura joining as a chief animation director and Ryūta Hayashi joining Chihiro Ōkawa in directing the art.

Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2 manga was first adapted into an anime in 1989 and has remained a popular franchise. The anime premiered nationwide in Japan in October 2024 and exclusively streamed on Netflix after its broadcast.
