Lupin III Franchise Unveils New Trailer, Visual, and Guest Cast for Latest Film

Lupin the IIIrd The Movie: Fujimi no Ketsuzoku, the new feature-length film in the Lupin III franchise, has revealed a new trailer, visual, and guest cast. The film is set to open in Japan on June 27 and will feature a returning cast and staff.

The newly announced cast includes Ainosuke Kataoka as Muomu, an immortal man, and Aoi Morikawa as Sarifa, a mysterious girl who serves Muomu. The story follows Lupin and his team as they seek a treasure on a mysterious unmarked island.

Director Takeshi Koike, scriptwriter Yūya Takahashi, and composer James Shimoji are all returning for the film, which will be the first new 2D feature-length anime film in the franchise in nearly 30 years. The film will also feature a net anime prequel titled Lupin the IIIrd: Zenigata to Futari no Lupin, which will begin streaming on June 20.
