Manga "Oblivion Battery" Simultaneously Released with Japan

MANGA Plus, a service by Shueisha, recently announced that it will simultaneously release Eko Mikawa's baseball manga "Oblivion Battery" starting from Thursday. The news was shared through the service's Twitter account. The manga follows the story of Haruka, a talented pitcher, and Kei, a skilled catcher who has lost his memory due to amnesia.

The story takes place in Tokyo, where the duo enrolls in Kotesashi High School and faces other baseball players who had previously lost to them. Mikawa launched the manga on Shonen Jump+ website in April 2018, and the 21st compiled book volume was published by Shueisha on April 4.

The manga has already been adapted into an anime, with the first season premiering in April 2024, and a second season announced. The anime has also inspired an event anime by MAPPA, which aired in October 2020, and a stage play adaptation will run in Tokyo and Osaka in October.

Fans of the series can now read the latest chapters of "Oblivion Battery" simultaneously with Japan on MANGA Plus. The release will start on Thursday, June 26.
