XRP's Prolific Investors Realizing $68M Daily Profits, Market at Risk of Sharp Sell-Off

Investors who bought XRP before the November 2024 rally, when the cryptocurrency was trading under $0.50, are now realizing profits at a pace of $68.8 million per day, according to Glassnode data. This surge in profit-taking behavior has many warning signs of a market top, similar to the 2017 cycle.

The realized profit from these high-margin holders has peaked, followed by a 90% downtrend. If this pattern repeats, XRP could be at risk of a 35% decline, potentially reaching the $1.35-$1.60 range.

The XRP market is also becoming increasingly top-heavy, with over 70% of the realized market cap forming since late 2024. This concentration of newer holders creates a vulnerable structure that is prone to sharp sell-offs during volatility.

The Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) metric also shows that holders of XRP who bought after the November rally are barely breaking even, while those who bought earlier still have a 35% downside cushion before reaching their breakeven level.

With XRP trading near $2.14, a decline toward the $1.50-$1.60 range is possible, potentially retesting the $1.35 level.
